New images from the Lake District are now in the latest images gallery here
Back to work this week after a week walking in the Lake District. After clocking up 40miles in 5 days last week, this week has felt like a rest- except for the fact the view is nowhere near as good. Talking of views a couple of days we didn't see anything above 500 metres due to low cloud - trying to find the path on Crinkle Crags had to be done with map and compass, visibility being down to 10 metres or so. Knowing that you are that high up but can't see any of it is a bit unnerving. So, don't expect any sweeping vistas from the top!!

These cows were taking in the view on the Cumbria Way early one morning, totally relaxed and fully confident in the expectation of rain later! (which it did...)
